About Foofaraws

The sticks for Foofaraws are laquered bamboo and average 5" long. The beads are from everywhere! Bead types and styles are constantly changing, making for unique and limited runs of Foofaraw designs.

My brother introduced the word "foofaraw" to me over a game of Scrabble. It means excessive or flashy ornamentation - perfect!

I have been interested in crafting all my life. Working with my hands gives me real joy. A few years ago, I began work at Yarns Unlimited in Sewickley, PA. It was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was creatively inspired all the time! It was there that the idea for Foofaraws was born. I have since moved back to my home state of Colorado where I continue to be an avid knitter and seamstress for interior designers.
